Sandisk (SNDK) Stock: $1,405 Into Tonight’s Results…

Updated 29 October 2026. Sandisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) closed Wednesday at $1,404.77, up $99.93 or 7.66 percent, and was quoted at $1,376.00 before Thursday’s open, down 2.05 percent (StockAnalysis, 9:06 am EDT). Fiscal first-quarter 2027 results arrive after the close today, with a call at 1:30 pm PT. Verdict: the stock has gained about 8 percent in two sessions on the SK hynix read-through, and Samsung’s record quarter this morning adds to it, so part of a good print is already in the price. The company guides to non-GAAP EPS of $44-$46 on $10.3-$10.8 billion of revenue. Reference levels: $1,230 below, $1,600 above.

Why the stock jumped on Wednesday

Wednesday’s 7.66 percent gain came on the SK hynix report, the clearest read on memory pricing before Sandisk’s own. Sandisk makes no DRAM or high-bandwidth memory, so the line that mattered was SK hynix’s NAND pricing, up at a mid-20s percentage rate as it shifted output toward enterprise SSDs. Micron rose 5.86 percent the same day; our Micron page covers the DRAM side, and the full Korean numbers are in our SK hynix Q3 report. Wednesday’s Sandisk page set out the setup before that move.

Thursday’s pre-market dip has less to do with memory than with the tape: Nasdaq-100 futures were lower overnight after Alphabet fell about 10 percent after hours on a profit miss. On the demand side, Alphabet kept its 2026 capital spending plan at $195 billion to $205 billion and said 2027 will be significantly higher, and Microsoft guided next-quarter capex above $50 billion, both supportive for data center storage.

What Sandisk has to show tonight

Three numbers decide the reaction. First, data center revenue: it went from $440 million in fiscal Q2 2026 to $1.47 billion in Q3 and $2.98 billion in Q4 (CoinCentral), and the market wants that line above $3 billion. Second, gross margin, as the cleanest measure of whether NAND price rises are reaching Sandisk’s own contracts. Third, the December-quarter guide: TradingKey notes the current guide already implies slower sequential growth, so a guide that points to prices still rising, in line with TrendForce’s 15 to 20 percent, matters more than the beat itself. Seagate beat and raised on Tuesday and still fell after hours, a reminder that a strong quarter can sell off when expectations have run ahead.

How much can SNDK move?

Options-based estimates disagree, so this page shows the range rather than one number: roughly 8 to 14 percent either way, with Investing.com at the low end and Earnings-Watcher, measured two weeks earlier, at the high end. Earnings-Watcher says the stock beat its implied move in three of its last six reports.

Sandisk into results: bull, base and bear

Scenario SNDK What has to happen Anchor
Bear $1,230 An in-line quarter and a guide that leans on volume rather than price; the two-day run-up reverses, as Seagate’s did. About 12.4 percent below Wednesday’s $1,404.77 close, near the upper implied-move estimates.
Base $1,300-$1,510 A beat on the quarter and a guide near consensus with NAND prices still rising; the reaction stays inside the options range. About 7.5 percent either side of Wednesday’s close, close to Investing.com’s 7.7 percent.
Bull $1,600 Data center revenue above $3 billion and a guide that echoes SK hynix’s mid-20s price increase. About 13.9 percent above Wednesday’s close, near Earnings-Watcher’s 13.7 percent.

The bear case sits below Wednesday’s close and Thursday’s pre-market quote. These are reference levels measured from the verified close, not forecasts. All three sit below the $2,143.83 average analyst target.

What to watch

  • The open: whether Thursday’s pre-market dip to $1,376 deepens with the Nasdaq after Alphabet.
  • After the close: Sandisk’s results, then the 1:30 pm PT call: data center revenue, gross margin, the December-quarter guide.
  • Also tonight: Amazon reports; its capital spending plan feeds storage demand.
  • $1,408.45: Wednesday’s high; a post-results move above it would put the stock at its best level since mid-October.

Quick take: Sandisk closed at $1,404.77 on Wednesday after a 7.66 percent jump on SK hynix’s NAND pricing, and was near $1,376 before Thursday’s open. Samsung added a record quarter this morning. Results land after tonight’s close against a $44-$46 EPS guide; options price an 8-14 percent move. A data center beat and a price-led guide open $1,600; a Seagate-style reaction opens $1,230.
